Managing director Mark Dolder said: “Bazaar Group has enjoyed significant growth over the past 11 years, and now sees a need for accessible and innovative design-led soft seating within the UK bricks and mortar furniture sector. We know that soft seating is a growing category as a result of its practicality for modern living, so we are delighted to be bringing this exciting offer to retailers.”
Launched in 2005, Bazaar Group was born when owner and creative director Jayne Dolder recognised an opportunity to evolve soft-fill contemporary seating and began selling to her friends and family.
Since then, the self-funded company has been leading innovation in the soft seating category, enjoying consistent double digit year-on-year growth. It has doubled its workforce every five years, and now operates from a 42,000 sq ft commercial premises in Northumberland, with a seven-figure turnover.
Bazaar Group has built up a strong logistics operation, and Mark added: “Our experienced operations and customer care team enables us to offer a variety of distribution packages for retailers, with lead times under a week.
“This could allow stores to carry only display items, which, by their nature, are easily moved around stores for lifestyle features, limiting the risk of carrying large quantities of stock.
“We know we have a collection that differs from anything else in the market, that retailers and their customers are going to love, all packaged up in an efficient and flexible model for the buyer. We are perfectly positioned to continue to carve out the soft seating category in the retail sector, bringing innovation to bricks and mortar stores and offering the retailer the opportunity to differentiate.”
